A Savy Chick’s Guide to Surviving the Holidays…

Never underestimate the power of a well put together P.L.A.N.

P- Put together some lists…check them twice.  Holiday Card List, Holiday Gift List, RSVP List and a Menu for your Hosted Events

L- Load up on extras to reduce stress.  I love to buy small back up gifts and cards(Just in case)… Buy a block of Manchego, a bottle of honey and balsamic glaze, some nuts and crackers (for that impromptu guest). Buy plain rolled paper and stamp to suite all styles and religious affiliations:). Lastly all the major stuff like TP, Paper towels, bottled water (flat and sparkling), etc.

A- Attitude is everything!!! Tis the season to be MERRY and HAPPY…set yourself up for perfect holidays with a glass half full – mentality:)

N- Never let’em see ya sweat…NEVER!  Let’s face it…odds are if ya forget something and you prepare ahead you will be able to do an old switch a roo…noone will know if you serve Brie instead of Camembert?? No one will know you have 12 back up ITunes gift Cards…Smile and remember it’s the THOUGHT that COUNTS!!!

Wishing ya LOVE, LAUGHTER, and YUMMY FOOD this holiday season.

This is great. I love the idea of having spare gift cards on hand and extra cards and the idea of having plain paper to wrap gifts and decorate/stamp them with the appropriate holiday decorations. These are great suggestions – thank you so much for the helpful, holiday hints.
